Join us at this free workshop for small and medium businesses.  During the evening we will examine the impacts of flooding and power loss on businesses, future climate-related risks that may be faced, and what local businesses can do to boost their own climate resilience.

The workshop will also introduce the free online Business Resilience Health-Check interactive tool.  This uses a multiple-choice questionnaire to help you to think about how different aspects of your business are vulnerable to extreme weather events - it also suggests what actions you can take to build their resilience.

The Health Check looks at premises, operations, staffing, logistics, insurance, finance etc. At the end of the workshop you'll know how to access, use and understand the outputs from the tool - and be ready to apply it to your own organisation.

All participants will receive a bespoke colour coded overview of their own business’s strengths and vulnerabilities - with recommended actions to strengthen resilience, PLUS a free copy of “Weathering The Storm”, a guide for Cumbrian businesses.

This workshop has been funded by Eden District Council.
