CLASP are hosting a briefing and site visit to an energy efficiency improvement scheme in Penketh, Warrington delivered by Golden Gates Housing Trust.

The session will commence with a briefing at the Halliwell Jones Stadium where you will have the opportunity to hear all about the energy efficiency improvement measures that have been delivered including a presentation from Paul Lowe and Mark Moore, Golden Gates Housing Trust.

This will then be followed by the site visit to Penketh, which will be led by Paul and Mark, who will be on hand to talk about the proposals in more detail and answer any queries.  Subject to availability there may also be an opportunity to talk to tenants about their experiences.

Background

Golden Gates Housing has carried out a number of energy efficiency improvements to 6 properties (5 owned by them and a private landlord). These are non-traditional Parkinson Framed Houses, which form part of a small close of 10 properties in Penketh, Warrington. The range of measures installed include: New Roof, Solar PV System kwh, Loft  Insulation, EWI, New Windows, Voltage optimisation, Remote Monitoring, Air test, New A rated heating system, Ventilation and EPC.

Travel Information

Please note that the briefing and question answer session will be held at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.  The Halliwell Jones Stadium site is approximately 5 minutes walk from Warrington Central Station. If you are driving please note that Tesco will issue £50 fines for cars parked on the Tesco Car Park.  Free parking for this event is available at ‘Car Park No 1, Heathcotes and Warrington Wolves’ just off Dallam Lane.

We will then be travelling to the site in Penketh which is approximately 10 minutes drive away from the Halliwell Jones Stadium.  If there is sufficient demand we could explore the potential for hiring a minibus taxi to pick up delegates from the Stadium.  You can indicate interest in this on the booking form.

Booking Information

Please note that this event is free to attend and exclusively for local authorities, housing associations and local enterprise partnerships. Bookings from other organisations may be declined.
