CLASP is supporting the following event:

Climate Ready and Climate UK, in partnership with the Department of Health, are hosting two half-day events in February 2014. These will support the launch of Under the Weather, a new toolkit designed to help health and wellbeing boards and commissioners save money, and increase resilience in a changing climate.

The events will introduce the new toolkit, and present the relevance and importance of adaptation to climate change across the health, public health and social care system.

Expert speakers including David Walker (Deputy Chief Medical Officer) will present the case for integrating adaptation into Joint Strategic Needs Assessments (JSNAs) and local Health and Wellbeing Strategies, explaining how this can help to complement local objectives to improve health and wellbeing, integrate health and care, reduce health inequalities, and meet statutory requirements.
