CLASP is holding a drop-in style session on Tuesday 10th January to provide an opportunity to view the PlanLoCal Model, which has been developed by the Centre for Sustainable Energy.  Click here to view the PlanLoCal Handout.

The PlanLoCaL model measures 4.0 x 0.8m and is a tool for engagement and discussion around spatial planning and the development of a low-carbon future.

The model is not based on a real place, but does demonstrate the typical patterns of British urban settlement as well as all the main renewable energy technologies.

Above all it helps illustrate that planning frameworks should be making provision for a mix of energy sources; it is inappropriate to adopt a single renewable energy source at the expense of all the others.

The workshop and PlanLoCal Model will be of interest to planning and building control officers as well as sustainability and other local authority officers involved in renewable energy projects.

No need to book for this event.  This is an informal drop-in session so feel free to turn up between 12.30-3.00pm, walk around the model and ask questions.

Travel & joining instructions: The venue is approximately 10 mins walk from Warrington Stations and further directions can be found at: http://thegateway.org.uk/location.html.
