Join CLASP and DECC at this special event for local authorities and their partner organisations focussing on the practical implementation of heat network projects.
The day is split into two:
AM - focussing on policy and practice
PM - hands-on DECC Heat Mapping Tool training session
You can attend either, or both sessions, but must book them separately. Places are limited for the PM session and lunch will be provided only for those attending both sessions.

AM: Heat Networks Policy and Practice
(9.30am - 1.00pm)
The morning session will be focussing on national policy developments and practical implementation of heat network projects by local authorities.
Speakers include:
Aaron Gould, DECC - Aaron will be talking about the National Heat Strategy and Heat Map as well as other relevant initiatives and what these mean for local authorities.
Ian Manders, CHPA - Ian will be talking about recent projects from around the Country and the opportunities and challenges for local authorities and their partner organisations.
We will also be hearing from: Jonathan Sadler, Manchester City Council and Rachel Waggett, Warrington Borough Council who will outline their recent projects and lessons learnt.
There will also be a panel discussion providing the opportunity to ask questions, share your experiences and explore how the approaches featured could be applied to your area.

PM: DECC Heat Mapping Tool Training Session (1.45 - 4.45pm)
The afternoon session will be computer based, focussing on the use of DECC's Heat Mapping Tool, providing the opportunity for local authorities to use the application and test its outputs.
Technical support will be provided by: Aaron Gould, DECC - Aaron will run through the National Heat Map tool and provide specific technical support on using the application and test its outputs. There will be plenty of time for Q&As and guided support.
