Liverpool City Region council members and members of health and wellbeing boards from across all Merseyside local authorities are invited to attend a briefing and discussion session.  This will take place from 1 - 4pm on 4th July 2013 at Millennium House, Liverpool.

This briefing explores the responsibilities of local authorities and health and wellbeing boards around housing energy use and how council members and members of health and wellbeing boards can make a difference. The session will include plenty of discussion and include information and examples based on the real challenges of the North West.

The support focuses on identifying and explaining new emerging issues and opportunities for local authorities and health and wellbeing boards around housing energy efficiency, fuel poverty, Green Deal and ECO.

A series of presentations, with opportunities for questions and discussion throughout, covering how low carbon and sustainable housing helps support priorities on health and wellbeing as well as energy and carbon reduction, employment and skills. There will be a focus on the new Green Deal and ECO. Case studies and examples from Liverpool City Region and the North West will be included.
