Lancashire Renewable Energy Sessions for Planners
Three seminars, aimed specifically at planners in Lancashire, were held in Preston, Blackburn and Blackpool and focused on renewable energy issues relevant to those in both forward planning and development control, as well as those working in regeneration, economic development and sustainability.
Each seminar covered the local factors that affect the suitability of different renewable technologies and how policy can support these. They discussed the findings of the Lancashire Renewables Capacity Study; Renewable and Low Carbon Energy Study and Landscape Capacity study for Wind Energy Developments in the South Pennines
